The Rules of the Mist

Blind commit. Each round you both choose a move in secret, then both moves resolve at once. You cannot react to their choice — only read them from the history.

The triangle. STRIKE beats GRAPPLE; GRAPPLE breaks GUARD; GUARD stops STRIKE. Rock-paper-scissors with weight.

Prana economy. FOCUS gives you breath but leaves you exposed — anything that lands lands hard. GUARD earns +1 prana while blocking. ART and MIST_STEP are powerful but cost prana to commit.

The Mist-Step is a bet. If they attack this turn, you dodge and counter. If they don't, you whiff and waste prana. Use it as a read, not a hope.
Hidden combos. Some three-move sequences awaken named techniques that grant the trigger move extra weight. The duelists know them; the move list does not. Find them by playing, or by digging in the source. The opponent will announce one when it lands.

The mind-scroll is the game. While the opponent reasons, their <think> trace renders in the footer. Reading it tells you what they think you'll do. That is the centrepiece, not a debug pane.
Cost is in prana. FOCUS and GUARD both gain breath. MIST_STEP is a counter-read (its damage in the table is the counter you land when you read an attack).
